March 2026 marked a milestone for electric vehicles in Europe. More than 500,000 plug‑in cars were registered across the continent, and 349,000 of those were battery‑electric vehicles (BEVs). Compared with the same month a year earlier, the total number of plug‑in registrations jumped 39 percent, while BEVs alone grew 42 percent. These figures show that electric mobility is moving faster than many observers expected.
